Another Good Day

We received our first shipment of climbing holds from our new manufacturer and everything arrived in perfect condition! 70 new mini jug sets that we didn't have to pour! I listed the new jugs on our website last night- hopefully we’ll get a response.

Friends have asked me if I’m sad to see hold production go & If I'll miss making them, etc… & the answer is N-O! I'm psyched our holds are going to be made by a great manufacturer full time! We'll have more time to develop new products & experiment with some ideas that keep us up at night. Hold production at our current rate can be overwhelming & is pretty labor intensive for just two people. The only thing that makes me sad/stressed is that our customers have to wait 3-6 weeks to get their new voodoo holds! I'm excited to see VooDoo move forward while keeping the manufacturing in the USA. We are truly blessed with so many great friends and customers - Thanks to everyone who has supported VooDoo over the years - we truly wouldn't be here without you!

Finally, a post

We moved VooDoo to a great new spot in Flagstaff -OUR BACKYARD!!! We love the new digs, a 900 sq ft custom garage complete with a heater, skylight & a gorgeous view of the ponderosa pines. Starting to feel settled but we're moving production to Colorado over the next few months & I'm sure crazy times are coming soon. It's an exciting change - a fabulous manufacturing company is producing our entire line of climbing holds. We'll have more time to create, climb & play! We went bouldering at the Priest draw today. It's been a while since we've taken the entire day off to climb & IT WAS AWESOME!!!! I have a new project & Frank is as strong as ever! We had wonderful company - Brad, Drew & Zach - super fun guys to climb with!

how to secure velcro flaps when you're playing in the dirt

Our velcro closure has yet another cool feature! You can secure the flaps when in use. The backpack straps & back panel stay clean and you don't have a bunch of fabric panels to fuss with.

open your pad and pull the shoulder strap & hip belt tight if you'd like

flip bottom flap over to reveal the loop side of the velcro

secure the hook side of the velcro on the side flap to the loop side on the bottom flap

now for the top

at the top of the side flap feed the webbing through the metal common loop and secure the velcro onto the flap

nice & neat
no more "pad back" for you

VooDoo crash pad care & FAQs

VOODOO HIGHBALL CRASH PADS

Thank you for purchasing one of the best crash pads on the market. With proper care and storage it should last for years of great use. Our pads are guaranteed against manufacturing defects and the buckles are guaranteed for the life of the pad.

STORAGE:
Store your pad in a cool dry place in the open position.

The most important thing you can do to prolong the life of your pad is to store the pad in the open position. The fold in the pad will crush the foam over time and will form a center trough and the closed cell foam layers will form folds that will become permanent if stored in the folded position.

If your pad gets wet, be sure to dry it thoroughly. Foam will hold large amounts of moisture and can grow mold and mildew fairly quickly if not allowed to dry properly.

CLEANING:
Cleaning small spots and spills can be done effectively with automotive upholstery cleaner. If your pad has developed a strong stench you may want to remove the foam, cinch up the buckles and hand wash the entire shell. If you find the odor is coming from the foam try carefully washing the foam with a mild soap and cool water – be sure to let the foam dry completely before placing the foam back into your shell. We do sell replacement foam if you ever need it.

RIPS, TEARS, BURNS:
Small rips, tears, or burns can be patched with iron on patches. Be sure to slide in several pieces of cardboard or other material to protect the foam from the heat of the iron. BE CAREFUL NOT TO MELT THE FABRIC.

Larger damage may be patched by removing the foam and sewing on a patch. Your local seamstress may be able to help or you can send your shell back to VooDoo for our repair service. The cost of non-warranty repairs varies from one repair to another, depending on the cost of the materials and length of time it takes for us to do the repair. If you are concerned about the expense, you can ask us to notify you of the repair costs.
Please give us a call at 928-527-0406 or send us an email before sending your shell for repair.

Remember if you store your pad open - the foam last sooooo much longer.
